Al Mayadeen Statement

🚨 A source in the leadership of the resistance to Al-Mayadeen:
—
It is clear that all that has been rumored about progress in the negotiations is not true.

“Israel” still insists on its conditions and rejects the conditions of Hamas, which it considers “impossible conditions.”

Hamas showed great flexibility during its meeting with the Egyptian delegation to reach a formula that leads to an agreement.

Hamas has presented treatments for sensitive issues such as a ceasefire, withdrawal of occupation forces from the Gaza Strip, return of displaced persons, and release of prisoners.

Hamas complained that the “israeli” side has not yet shown any seriousness in dealing with the negotiation process.

The “israeli” side is evading the negotiations under the pretext that the ceiling of Hamas’ demands is greatly exaggerated.

The “israeli” side has not given any clear position regarding a permanent ceasefire or a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.

Things are still at a standstill, and no real breakthrough has occurred in any of the files.

There are two reasons for “israeli” obstinacy, the first is the deep internal disagreement that does not allow any party to make concessions or show flexibility.

The other reason for “israeli” obstinacy is its belief that it can lower the ceiling of Hamas’s expectations through continuous military pressure on it.

Egypt and Qatar are working in harmony and high understanding, and there is American responsiveness to the directions of these two countries to make real progress in the negotiations.
